Home buying seminar Dec. 3
MIDDLETOWN – The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development will hold a free financial training workshop for prospective low- and moderate-income home buyers from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 225 Dolson Ave., Suite 104 in Middletown.
Known as the “Money Smart” course, the workshop was developed in partnership with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and is being presented by USDA Rural Development’s Middletown office. The course focuses on developing financial skills and covers four main topics: money management, basic banking services, understanding credit, and home purchasing. Information on USDA Rural Development’s single family housing direct and guaranteed loan programs will also be provided.
